The Research Council has been given the opportunity to increase available amounts in the call for global health with a deadline of 20 May by 20 million. These are funds earmarked for research on epidemics and in particular COVID-19.
NOK 60 million is available for projects that will help to generate new knowledge on how to achieve universal health coverage and sustainable health systems in developing countries.
Projects must be within the framework of global health system and health care services research. The purpose is to promote good health and quality of life for people in developing countries.
To be eligible for funding, projects must include extensive international collaboration and seek to strengthen competence in research environments in Norway and in developing countries by means of cooperation.
