UiB and UiO were well represented at the 11th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health in Liverpool. In 2021, the University of Bergen will host the conference in Bergen.
UiB's Centre for International Health is well represented, with several panels, at the biannual European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health in Liverpool,16-20 September.
In two years it will be held in Bergen. Invitation to ECTMIH 2021.
Professors Astrid Blystad and Karen Marie Moland chaired a well attended panel on reproductive health and the politics on abortion with, among others, Marte Haaland (above), Getnet Tadele (University of Addis Ababa), Richard Sambaiga (University of Dar es Salaam), and Haldis Haukanes (UiB).
Professor Thorkild Tylleskär chaired a panel on Konzo with colleagues and students of the late Hans Rosling.
Other PhD candidates from UiB who presented were Alemselam Zebdewos Orsang, Melf-Jakob Kühl and Thandile Gondwe.
The University of Oslo organised a solid panel, led by Johanne Sundby, on the quality of care for women and adolescent girls in Malawi, Kenya & Tanzania: From policy to practice, or the other way around?
